Key features of the Phoenix Double-Decker:

• The cards of the Double-Decker are so ultrathin that two complete decks incl. Jokers fit into a regular cardcase!
• Design, playing card size and corner roundings exactly match the regular Phoenix Deck
• Cardcase of the Double-Decker is produced at US Playing Card Company to match the cardcase of the regular Phoenix Deck and allows an easy deckswitch
• The backs are marked like the Phoenix Marked Deck and therefore allows additional handlings
• The Double-Decker can be ordered in several combinations and allows applications acording to the Phil Deck, Trilogy etc.
• Roughing the cards will add a little thickness to the cards, but still 104 cards fit into the cardcase. For easily roughing the cards we invented the Phoenix Spray Grid that holds the thin cards in their position during the preparation
• Glueing cards in pairs is also possible, the added thickness does not prevent to still put the two full decks into the cardcase.

You have watched Luke Jermay's Penguin Live Lecture or his DVD Jermay's Mind? There you saw his brilliant approach to the Tossed Out Deck, using a Phoenix Double Decker with a certain setup.

We specially set up this deck for you (you still have to prepare the deck by glueing and marking the cards):

• 1st half: full deck with standard faces with red backs, all cards shortened
• 2nd half: 3-way force deck with red backs

These cards PERFECTLY match our Double Deckers, they just have twice the thickness of the ultra thin cards. Wow! Uhhmmm really?! But then they are just like a deck of regular cards?! Yes! And no.

So far it was impossible to MIX thick and thin cards in a single deck. As regular playing cards are made out of linen structure paper and have black glue in their inner core, they do not match the thin Double Decker cards. The Single Decker cards are made out of exactly the same material as the Double Deckers, so only TOUCHING helps to identify if a card is from a Double Decker or Single Decker deck.

Our most popular effect Out of Sight by Joshua Jay is using a mix of theses cards as well, and the thick cards convince the spectator who handles the deck himself that "everything is normal".

Get a blank face Single Decker to freshen up your Out of Sight Deck as these are the cards that are handled the most during the performance of the effect.

• Cardcase of the Single Decker matches the Double Decker

This is the cleanest approach to a Brainwave Deck ever.

• You take a red deck out of a red card case (also available in blue back version).
• You can show all faces as you really have a complete deck.
• Let your spectators name any card they want, or - even better - ask three different spectators for three different cards.
• No force, no stooges, no sleights!
• You spread the deck to find the three named cards.
• Take out the three cards and place them in front of the deck.
• Turn over the deck and spread it openly to show a complete red deck.
• Then - one by one - turn over the chosen cards to show that they are all blue!

This is by far the cleanest, fairest and easiest Brainwave effect. Other presentations are possible, perhaps you can also reveal a single card only. You could even spot the selected cards from the back as the backs are marked. Your creativity will be your limitation.
